REVISES POLICY 005.0670 JURY DUTY PAY (APPROVED 10/17/85)

 

1.0       GENERAL STATEMENT

1.1              It is the policy of the Board of Education to allow employees working an average of 30 hours or more per week and/or participating in Utah Retirement Systems to be compensated for Jury Duty at the employee’s regular wage when summoned to participate.  It is expected that the employee will immediately notify his or her supervisor when such a summons is received.

            1.2       The employee will not have payment of salary withheld for time missed while   serving.  However, all payments received from the court for such services will be remitted by the employee to the School District.

            1.3              No provision is made by the Board to provide meals or lodging or travel costs to employees while serving Jury Duty.
