Ashley Valley Attendance Philosophy
Ashley Valley High recognizes that student attitudes towards attendance directly effect student achievement in school and opportunities for success beyond high school. Attendance standards are established to teach responsible behavior, encourage students to be accountable and communicate to parents their child's attendance.
Ashley Valley High supports the district attendance policies while providing flexibility and accountability on the part of students, parents, and the school. Ashley Valley High believes school attendance is a student-parent-school responsibility which involves all three entities working together in order to resolve attendance concerns prior to a truancy referral to the juvenile court system.
Absence Standards
In order to afford students the opportunity to be academically successful and responsible citizens, Ashley Valley Education Center has set the following standards for attendance.
